Austin, Tx native...humanist, foodie, and dog loving photographer. I love the creative process and while I am a natural organizer and director, I also allow room for the project to live and breathe for itself. Usually the best shots come from the “in betweens”. When collaborating with my clients, models, and make-up artists, I feel it is my job to translate everyone’s vision to create the desired images, with the result being more than the sum of the parts.

Being a “humanist” to me is about bringing out the natural beauty and character of the people in my pictures. I, myself, feel very awkward in front of the camera so I have a lot of respect, compassion, and awe for those who love it, or are just willing to brave the process.

While people are my favorite subjects, I always have my camera in hand when road trippin’ with my husband and our super model dog, River. Heading north and west on an open two lane highway, with Alt-J or the Mermen providing the soundtrack to our journey, that is my happy place.

I am particularly drawn to rocks, (mountain, boulders, stones, pebbles)…maybe it’s a Virgo thing, but I just love the patterns and beauty of the earth….and it’s edible bounty!
